Chestnut - Palomino



Name: No Name

Breed: "Sorrel Quarter Horse"
Year: 2003-2004
Description: Flaxen chestnut mare. Light brown chestnut with darker shading on body and legs. Dark gray shading around eyes and muzzle. Hind hooves are gray. Hair is golden blonde.
Markings: White blaze on face. White socks on both front feet.
Notes: This was a Euro-exclusive (?) release. She was never available in North America, and never given a name.

Similars: Butterscotch and Braveheart have virtually the same markings, but Butterscotch will be palomino with white hair. Braveheart will be lighter brown, and should be distinct by range.

















Name: Braveheart

Breed: Quarter Horse
Year: 2003
Description: Dark palomino-like. Orange body with brownish shading. Hair is blonde.
Markings: White blaze on face. White socks on both front feet.
Similars: Butterscotch and UK Sorrel have virtually the same markings, but Butterscotch will be palomino with white hair. UK Sorrel will be darker brown, and should be distinct by range.








Name: Butterscotch

Breed: Quarter Horse
Year: 2000
Description: Palomino mare. Yellowish orange with orange shading on body and legs. Blackish shading around muzzle. Front hooves are pale/peach colored. Mane and tail are white.
Markings: White blaze on face. Both front feet are socked.
Similars: Braveheart and UK Sorrel have virtually the same markings, but both will be darker and have blonde hair.

















Pinto



Name: Dosie Doe

Breed: Quarter Horse
Year: 2001
Description: Palomino pinto mare. Pale orange/apricot with white pinto markings. Hair is blonde.
Markings: Head is tobiano-like with white blaze. All legs are white.










Dappled


Name: Waltzing Matilda

Breed: Brumby
Year: 1999
Description: True color assignment unknown. Dapple-like on cream coat, possibly roan. Body is tan/beige with black shading around eyes, muzzle, and leg joints. Body is marked throughout with brown spots. Hair is dark, reddish brown. Hooves are black.
Markings: None.
Notes: Could be appaloosa or reverse dapple on a liver base (?). A mystery of Champion proportion, but typical of the 1999 run with its strange colors and lack of marking.
